Mary J Jessup - Mud Blossom Pottery

A native of Hawkinsville and Pulaski County, Mary J. Jessup returned to the area after three decades away

while maintaining strong local ties. Her interest in pottery began during undergraduate studies and

deepened through additional ceramics coursework in Rome, Georgia.

After just two classes, Mary J. Jessup established her own studio and has been devoted to clay ever since. Influenced by Southern folk pottery traditions, her work has been exhibited throughout Northwest and Middle Georgia and has received awards at the Cedar Valley Arts Festival and the Georgia National Fair. Mary now offers a variety of pottery classes at her studio in Hawkinsville.
